We are very excited to share with you our latest policy for 2026- The Meatfest Emissions Policy

We do like initiation ceremony’s… When you arrive you can either bathe in meat juices or salute the Meatfest flag. Either way sign up is now live and you can register to come to our beloved Meatfest.

We have a new shiny new toilet block. 2 loos. 2 heated showers. 2 heated sinks, electric points and running water!

I did a little bit of camping the last few weeks, so I could not help my self getting a new firepit and a new way to cook all the meat. And yes this is the aldi “big daddy” rump steak. It was SO big I had to cut it in half to cook it. mental.

Went to the lakes at the start of may. I do miss meatfest being in the Lakes. But our new home is still very lovely !
Here is a few photos of the wild camp:

O yes there was some good whisky being handed around at Meatfest last year. Let’s hope next year is the same.
Few snaps of my last camping trip.. just to wet your appetite!

Feeling the excitement yet? I know I am.
As the informal planning begins and people consider their next tent purchase, maybe it’s time to get a camping fridge of your own, or can you get a more awesome & bigger firepit? Either way secret planning meatings meetings are already taking place, making sure that the fattened caf is ready! Can’t wait to see you all again in the field.

Well folks, the hog has turned, the steak is done, and the sausages have been skinned. Another Meatfest is over and what a glorious one it was. The weather was splendid, the food plentiful, and the company was exceptional. It was lovely to catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and generally chill out.
There was fire:
There was food:

There was walking and exploring:

And there was relaxing back at our wonderful tent city:

Thankyou to everyone who came, and made it a special year. Now we lay down the tongs, smother the flames and look longingly at every passing cow and sheep until the next year. See you all in 2023 God Willing!
Long time ago now, or so it seems. It was great to be back together after the Lockdowns, outside in the fresh air eating meat once again.
Due to the Camp Chef’s Long Covid it was decided that everyone should bring their own meat to feed themselves and their families. It turned out to be quite a success, with some using the shared Barbs and others using their own firepits or grills.

The local butchers also gave us some cracking deals, so we will no doubt be using them again next year.
Thanks to the generosity of Rocksalt the campsite fees were paid for us, meaning that it was food and fuel cost only! What a wondrous thing.

And so we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and ate and laughed together. Roll on this August, not long to go!
